For myself (male) I like it completely shaved. I do this for more than 10 years. My wife is also shaving but she prefers a small landing strip. Only sometimes completely shaved. In general it should be a cultivated look, which is comfortable for both and suits to the specific person. I am not that hairy at all, so a complete shave doesn’t look strange.

That sounds (and must look) good. We keep it trimmed. The Boy shaves his balls and keeps the rest trimmed (sometimes close, sometimes not really that small) and The Girl trims if really close. But we’ll make sure to post some photos when/if we shave completely.
